A recognisable body of work is built less by repeating a style than by returning to the same underlying questions.

Visual consistency is useful, but it is not the same as having a point of view. A project can follow every rule in a design system and still feel as though it has nothing particular to say.

A point of view comes from the questions behind the work. What deserves attention? What should feel easier? What can be removed? What kind of behaviour should an experience encourage?

The answers may produce very different outcomes across a product, identity or piece of media. What connects them is not necessarily a colour or a typeface, but a shared way of making decisions.

That is the kind of coherence I want ANN to develop: not a fixed style applied to everything, but a recognisable intention running through work that is allowed to take different forms.
